July 30 Modern pentathlete Michael Gostigian of the United States celebrates a victory in the fencing phase of the Modern Pentathlon Tuesday, July 30, at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. The event challenges male athletes in a single day of shooting, fencing, swimming, horse riding and running.
